Although he's very happy with his new family, Papa Legba has never lost his taste for adventure.
A secret destination
Whenever he gets the chance, the cat finds a way to escape and trot around the neighbourhood.
His family noticed that he always runs in the same direction, as if he has a specific place to go.
However, he always comes home when they call his name or as soon as he hears the rustle of a bag of cat treats.
They always suspected he might have a second family he was visiting, but they could never be absolutely sure.
That was until the day Papa Legba came home wearing a hand-knitted jumper.
A fashion show
His family was stunned to see him in the jumper. They found it especially hard to understand how he could tolerate it, given that he hates being picked up or even wearing a collar.
Yet Papa Legba seems calmer with a jumper around his neck.
Papa Legba's first jumper was a blue striped number. During the festive season, he came home dressed in a pink outfit with Christmas trees on it! He even has a little jumper that says: "Born to be awesome".
No one knows who knits his jumpers. His owner has even knocked on the doors of five families in the neighbourhood to find out more, but for now, the mystery remains unsolved!
Although Papa Legba's family would prefer him to stay at home, they're happy he has another family looking out for him. They can't wait to meet them one day so they can thank them for the jumpers!
