Home at last
One day, while Sophia was at home, she heard scratching at the front door. It was her cat, finally back and asking to be let in! The tomcat’s fur was dirty and he was a little thinner, but as far as Sophia was concerned, it was definitely her cat.
The tabby cat came inside, checked out his things, and interacted with his dog brother just like usual. Sophia was so relieved to have him home. But little did she know, more surprises were in store!
Seeing double
A week later, she heard a noise at the door again... It was her cat, asking to come in. Sophia was very confused, because her cat was already inside the house! When she opened the door, the tabby cat went straight to his usual spots. Even the dog seemed baffled by the two cats.
Deeply unsettled, Sophia took both tomcats to the vet. It turns out that tabby cats can have identical markings on their fur. After scanning their microchips, it was revealed that the second cat to arrive was her real cat... while the first was an identical cat that didn't belong to her. It's absolutely wild, but understandable when you see the photo of the two cats below...
