"My grandparents adopted... this thing": a post that left 12,000 people stunned

On Monday 30th March, a user on the social media site Reddit revealed a recent decision made by their grandparents.

The user posted a message along with three photos.

The photos show a fluffy puppy peeking at the camera.

A unique coat

The pup appears to be a young dog with a wavy coat and adorable wrinkles, much like a French Bulldog. In the caption, they wrote: "My grandparents adopted... this thing," referring to the dog's somewhat deceptive appearance. You could say the dog has a rather 'scruffy' look...

They then immediately added in their post: "And I love him." While some people with strict breed standards might have pointed out that the pup wasn't a perfect specimen, his new grandparents thought he was absolutely wonderful and adopted him on the spot.

A brighter future

The user explained that the puppy had sadly been 'rejected' by its breeder and had ended up in a rescue centre. This is where the grandparents found him, absolutely certain that he was the perfect dog for them.

The post also revealed that the grandparents have always adopted their dogs from rescue centres, often specifically choosing those with special needs. We are delighted that this little pup, initially rejected because of his appearance, has finally been adopted into a loving family who will care for him and cherish him for his entire life!
