In March 2024, an employee at a distillery in Kansas, USA, was surprised to see an intruder on the company's roof.
The man soon realised that a puppy, later named Rieger, was perched on the roof.
As reported by The Dodo, many employees sprang into action to help the little animal, who could have been seriously injured if he had fallen.
An hour and a half on the roof
After bringing the dog to safety, the employees checked the CCTV footage to figure out how he could have possibly ended up in such a precarious situation.
”Although it hasn't been officially confirmed, it's thought that he may have been thrown from a nearby bridge,” Lucy Rieger, a director at J. Rieger & Co., told The Dodo.
In total, the dog spent almost an hour and a half on the roof. After the rescue, he was taken in by a local animal charity.
A new beginning for Rieger
And luckily, Rieger has since been adopted by a loving family.
