A long wait for a home
Vlad was just a puppy when he ended up in an animal shelter in Cancún, Mexico. With his wonderful personality, the volunteers were sure he would find a family quickly. Sadly, this wasn't to be.
The charity Border Tails Rescue decided to take him under their wing to help find him a home. But once again, no one came forward to enquire about him.
A helping hand from social media
Vlad had to wait until he was six years old for his story to be discovered by two young men, Eric and Joey. They decided to feature the dog on their social media channels.
The pair soon realised why Vlad had never been adopted. The dog had a pronounced underbite, which some people found intimidating.
Thanks to their help, Vlad finally caught the eye of a loving family and has now settled into his new home.
