However, this wasn't just a stray dog...
For the woman, finding the dog for a second time was simply heartbreaking.
A second rescue
It was, in fact, the second time she had found and rescued this particular dog. The first time, she had taken the dog to her local rescue centre. The pooch's owner had come to collect her and taken her home. But sadly, the dog was once again neglected and left to fend for herself.
She was found abandoned about 9 miles from her home. The woman who recognised the dog stated that this time, she would never find herself in such a situation again: "Dumped by her owner for the second time. This is the second time I've found her. She will NOT be going back to him."
A big decision
In the video below, you can see that the dog is delighted to be reunited with her rescuer. When the woman calls her, the dog runs over, her tail wagging excitedly. She then approaches the car, as if to say, "Come on, let's go together!"
The rescuer said that she was taking the dog in and that she would no longer have to endure the "horrors" inflicted by her owner. In the comments, viewers pointed out how happy the dog seemed to see her: "It's like you've always been her human!" Thankfully, the dog is now safe, and it is hoped she will soon be officially adopted by her rescuer.
