A perfectly planned heist
The answer, when she found it, left her speechless. One day, Myrthe caught her dynamic duo red-handed. Kevin, her little lovebird, was literally helping Blyu, her imposing Samoyed, to get his paws on some forbidden biscuits.
In a video posted on TikTok, she revealed the incredible scene. Whenever Blyu approached the cabinet where the biscuits were kept, Kevin got the signal. The little lovebird would climb into the jar, grab a biscuit with his beak, and then drop it to the floor for his four-legged accomplice.
It was a well-oiled, discreet, and effective system, until the day their owner caught them in the act. "I was shocked, and then I burst out laughing," she explained. "It was so funny to see him bring the biscuits to the edge and throw them down."
An inseparable friendship
Kevin is no stranger to mischief. Since arriving at five weeks old, he has been curious, bold, and always ready to join in with whatever his humans are doing. He loves to be at the centre of the action and especially wants whatever anyone else has. But the one he shares the most with is Blyu.
They drink together, spend time side by side, and Kevin even enjoys gently startling the big white dog sometimes. Theirs is a close bond that transcends species.
However, there was one detail that forced Myrthe to put a stop to their thieving: Blyu is diabetic. He couldn't be allowed to eat biscuits that weren't suitable for his diet. The jar has now been moved to a secure location, while Myrthe looks for treats compatible with his health. For now, their biscuit-stealing operation has been shut down.
But given their boundless imagination, it's a safe bet that Kevin and Blyu are already plotting their next move.
