Oscar was the oldest dog in the shelter.
But two years later, the senior dog is in great shape and is thriving by Olivia's side!
A very special bond
When Olivia met the Labrador at the shelter, she immediately felt a special connection with him. She had grown up with her aunt's Labrador, and that pooch was also called Oscar. Sadly, Olivia's aunt passed away just one month after she adopted Oscar from the shelter, so Olivia felt it was a sign.
Before adopting the senior dog, she made sure that all the boxes were ticked: she had enough time to look after him, as well as the space and money needed to care for him. Since everything was in order, she made the decision to adopt him. And it was, without a doubt, the best decision of her life.
A happy and healthy pooch
Two years after his adoption, Oscar is in great shape. He's happy with everything and never complains. At his grand old age (13 this year), he still goes for three 25-minute walks a day. His family couldn't be happier.
Everyone in the neighbourhood where Oscar lives in the UK knows him: he's a happy dog who also brings a lot of joy to everyone he meets!
