Yves helps abandoned Pitbulls every day. Over the past 10 years, he has helped 45 of them find a family.
As he told The Dodo, "a large part of my work is taking care of puppies and dogs who are abandoned, forgotten, on euthanasia lists, are long-stay residents, or just need more attention, and they are usually, more often than not, Pitbulls."
Lost and confused
A while ago, Yves heard about Mary, a dog who was in desperate need of help. She had been found lost and confused after being abandoned by her family.
The dog had been taken to a shelter in Florida, USA. Yves decided to take her under his wing and give her the care she needed.
A special bond
Mary quickly realised she was in safe hands. "She felt very comfortable and became attached to me when she realised I was her friend and wouldn't hurt her," he said.
In a video shared on Instagram, she can be seen cuddling her rescuer. And thanks to Yves's help, Mary has now found a new family.
