For this nine-year-old senior dog, finally finding her forever family is a moment that goes beyond words.
The brave Wisco had sadly spent three long years in a shelter.
A string of failed adoptions
During those three years, Wisco was adopted three times, but sadly, she was returned to the shelter on each occasion. It seemed her adopters weren't ready to commit to her for life. For Wisco, this cycle was incredibly stressful.
The poor dog could never truly relax. She had to cope with the discomfort of living in a kennel, the constant noise, and the emotional rollercoaster of being adopted only to be returned. It was an extremely difficult journey for Wisco.
A home for life
Thankfully, her ordeal is now over, thanks to Katie, who shared a video of Wisco arriving at her new home. The footage shows the dog enthusiastically enjoying her new surroundings: playing with her soft toys in the living room, napping on the sofa, and even opening presents at Christmas. Katie captioned the video: "You’ll never have to set a paw in a shelter again."
Despite all the false starts and the heartbreak of being abandoned repeatedly, Wisco never lost her trust in people. She is just a bundle of love with her new family. We are so relieved that Wisco has finally found her forever home, and we wish her all the best for the future.
