In a peaceful corner of Thailand, author and animal advocate Niall Harbison has created a “Disneyland for elderly dogs”.
According to the website Parapets, this “Happy Doggo” animal sanctuary has been designed to be a true paradise.
After setting up a medical centre to help stray dogs, Niall Harbison has now unveiled a special area dedicated to the oldest and most vulnerable dogs he has rescued over the years.
They deserve to be pampered
In a video shared on the @wearehappydoggo Instagram account, he shows off the area, which is inspired by the magic of theme parks. This colourful environment is designed as an oasis of comfort where the dogs can walk, play, or simply relax in a peaceful setting.
The video's caption explains, “We built a Disneyland for elderly street dogs. They are the oldest and sickest of the street dogs, and we felt they deserved to be pampered.”
Golden years in safety and comfort
Each dog receives shelter and food, as well as regular medical care and their own personal space. They also have the chance to socialise with the team and the other animals.
“These dogs have spent their lives surviving on the streets. Now, they can spend their golden years feeling safe and loved,” concluded Niall Harbison.
