A ginger cat suddenly appeared in the area where Niklas was exercising. It seemed to come out of nowhere.
At first, Niklas wasn't concerned by the cat's presence, as he's used to seeing strays on the island.
A crucial mission
This cat, however, was very different. She walked right up to the young man, sat beside him, and began demanding his attention. She wouldn't stop cuddling him, forcing Niklas to pause his workout! It turned out she was a female, so Niklas nicknamed her Mousi. After a few minutes, she snuggled up on his t-shirt as if it were her own personal bed...
Niklas went home but couldn't stop thinking about Mousi. Two days later, he returned to the same spot for his workout, and there she was!
A growing bond
Once again, the little cat refused to leave his side for the entire workout. Niklas had never owned a cat before, but he found himself seriously considering adopting her. He asked several neighbours if they knew Mousi, but nobody recognised her. He then took her to the vet, who confirmed that she wasn't microchipped.
That settled it. Niklas decided to adopt Mousi. When he brought her home, she was a little shy at first, but it only took 20 minutes for her to come out of her shell. Mousi has now been living with Niklas for two months, and everything is going wonderfully. Her new owner can't imagine life without her and is incredibly grateful that their paths crossed during his workout!
