However, it wasn't quite the kind of urgent need his owner was expecting when her dog woke her up.
It was one o'clock in the morning, and Milo's owner was fast asleep.
Surprise, surprise
So when Milo roused her from her sleep, indicating he wanted to go out, she pushed back the duvet and took him outside. She assumed he needed to relieve himself, but that wasn't it at all!
In the video footage below, the garden is shrouded in darkness, lit only by the porch lights. Milo walks out of the house ahead of his owner. He doesn't head for the lawn, but... straight for the swing seat!
His favourite chair
Milo then climbs onto the chair, makes himself comfortable, and sits calmly facing his owner, as if it were the most normal thing in the world. She is in complete shock and realises she's been had!
The video's caption reads: "POV: Your dog wakes you up at 1am to sit in his favourite chair when it's -3°C outside." You can hear Milo's owner's voice saying, "Are you mad?"
