A moment of panic
Theresa had been in a rush when she left the house and had forgotten to shut the door. So, when she received the text, she had a real fright. Her first thought was that her dog, Duke, had run off. Four years earlier, he had escaped from their home and wandered around the neighbourhood before being picked up by the police.
But this time, that wasn't the case at all. Quite the opposite, in fact. Zooming in on the picture, Theresa realised that Duke was right there at home, sleeping soundly in front of the open door. More than that, he was guarding the house! There was no need to shut the door; he had security covered.
