This is the story of a cat who underwent an incredible transformation in just two months. As reported by The Dodo, a ginger cat named Cicero was found on the streets in a dreadful state.
The poor little fellow's fur was patchy due to mange, and he appeared to be struggling to breathe because of a respiratory infection.
A desperate situation
The person who found Cicero immediately contacted the Good Karma Pet Rescue for help. Although the rescue was already overwhelmed with kittens in need, they managed to squeeze him in.
Cicero was taken in by a foster family who watched over the very poorly kitten day and night. When his foster family couldn't be there, the rescue's administrative manager and veterinary assistants stepped in to care for him.
The road to recovery
Cicero needed a great deal of care. He was put on a feeding tube to help him conserve his energy.
After several days of intensive care, the kitten was finally strong enough to stand and walk on his own. The feeding tube was removed, and he could at last enjoy his freedom.
He couldn't stop purring and loved interacting with his foster family. Happily, Cicero soon caught the eye of a loving family and was quickly adopted.
