Firefighters called to a blocked exhaust pipe: the rescue takes a surprising turn

By Elodie Carpentier

This is the kind of rescue story we love to see.

A delicate operation

In Florida, USA, firefighters were called out for a rather unusual rescue. As reported by People magazine, the Pasco County Fire Rescue team saved the lives of three kittens trapped inside an exhaust pipe.

"Thanks to the team's quick thinking, precision, and big hearts, the three little animals were freed safe and sound," the rescue service wrote on their Facebook page.

In safe hands

Although it's not known how long the kittens were trapped, they were immediately placed in a cosy spot to recover from their ordeal.

Local news channel Tampa Bay News reported that the Pasco County firefighters contacted a 'Good Samaritan', who then took the kittens into their care.
