An unlikely skier caused quite a stir on the Bormio slope during the Alpine Ski World Cup in Italy.

On Twitter, Eurosport shared a video of a dog hurtling down the slopes of the Italian ski resort.
In front of a laughing crowd, the dog managed to give security the slip and enjoy his wild run down the piste.

"Oh, he's down! Caught an inside edge," the Eurosport commentators joked as the dog lost its footing on the slope.
The race resumed a few minutes later, with Marco Odermatt eventually taking the win.
