Pebbles, a relaxed tomcat living in Washington State, enjoys the quiet life. With access to a spacious rural garden, he often takes peaceful naps in the fresh air, surrounded by nature.
Though he seems to relish the calm and solitude, one particular afternoon brought a delightful surprise that seemed straight out of a Disney film. As Pebbles slept soundly in a large wooden planter, he unknowingly attracted some unusual visitors without lifting a paw.
Stunned owner grabs his camera
Glancing into the garden, Pebbles’ owner spotted the cat resting comfortably. But something remarkable caught his eye: a deer had wandered over, seemingly curious about the snoozing feline. Rather than keeping its distance, the deer gently approached, then began nuzzling Pebbles affectionately.
Just as the scene couldn’t get any more surreal, a second deer appeared and mirrored the behaviour of the first. Despite the unusual company, Pebbles remained unbothered, appearing to enjoy the attention from his newfound admirers.
The beginning of a magical friendship
Pebbles’ owner shared that this enchanting encounter wasn’t a one-off. Since that day, the deer have returned regularly to visit their feline friend, often treating him to gentle grooming sessions several times a week.
It’s the kind of scene you’d expect to see in a Disney film, not in your own back garden.
