Pebbles is a tomcat who lives a charmed life. He lives with his owner in Washington State, USA, and has a large garden in a rural area. This allows him to nap peacefully in the fresh air.
While he seems to make the most of this quiet life, which he probably enjoys, the tomcat recently had a very unusual experience that took everyone by surprise. As he was sleeping peacefully in a large wooden planter, he managed to make some new friends... without lifting a paw!
His owner couldn't believe his eyes
Looking out into his garden, Pebbles' owner spotted his cat settled comfortably. But then, something unexpected happened right before his astonished eyes. A deer, clearly intrigued by the feline, approached to satisfy its curiosity. Not content with just observing the cat up close, the wild animal began a more thorough examination, which turned into a real show of affection.
A surprising new friendship
As if the scene wasn't amazing enough, Pebbles' owner was in for another surprise. A second deer appeared nearby and started doing the exact same thing. For his part, Pebbles didn't seem at all bothered by the unusual visit. In fact, he even seemed to be enjoying the sudden attention!
Speaking to the American news channel ABC News, the tomcat's owner explained that this wasn't a one-off event. Since that first encounter, Pebbles has been receiving regular visits from his new friends and gets a special grooming session several times a week.
