Dick Van Dyke reunited with missing cat after wildfire evacuation drama

Dick Van Dyke, 98, and his wife, Arlene Silver, have been reunited with their beloved cat, Bobo after it was left behind during a Malibu wildfire evacuation.

The fire, which began on 9 December, forced thousands of residents, including Van Dyke and Silver, to flee their homes.

In a Facebook post, Van Dyke reassured fans that they had safely evacuated with their other pets, but Bobo had managed to escape at the last moment.

Missing cat

Fans flooded the actor with messages of support, hoping for a positive outcome.

He expressed his hope for the cat's safety amid the chaos, writing, "We’re praying he’ll be ok."

Happy reunion

 By Wednesday evening, Van Dyke shared the good news. "We found Bobo as soon as we arrived back home this morning," he confirmed, alongside a photo of his wife holding the cat. Animal control had been involved in the search, but Bobo was unharmed and waiting at home.

This incident mirrors a similar situation earlier this year when model Cara Delevingne feared for her cats' safety after a fire in her Los Angeles home.

Thankfully, both cats were found safe.
