Caitlin Elizabeth was out for a walk when she noticed a tiny, ice-cold kitten lying among the trash and feared the worst.

She leaned in to check, only to realise the kitten was still breathing, though barely.

Acting fast, Caitlin scooped the kitten into her hands and rushed it back to her car, determined to help.

Hands-on care

An experienced kitten caregiver, Caitlin knew the little one had a tough road ahead. The kitten’s tiny stomach was full of dirt, likely eaten to survive.

Caitlin, worried but hopeful, cleaned him up and started feeding him from a bottle. She even went back to look for the mother cat but found no sign of her nearby.

Once home, Caitlin’s own cat, Echo, who she had also bottle-fed as a kitten, took a keen interest in the new arrival. Echo kept a close watch every time Caitlin fed the tiny kitten, as if understanding the situation.

Hope for the future

The kitten, still fragile but showing signs of improvement, is now safe and warm. Caitlin continues to provide updates on his progress, sharing that he is eating well and slowly regaining strength.

@summergirl01297 I dont really hate cats 😂 but it does get a little old when they aren’t smart with thier babies. #fyp #kittens #cold #bottlebaby ♬ original sound - Caitlin Elizabeth

With Caitlin and Echo by his side, this little fighter has a chance to grow healthy and strong.

Good luck, kitten!

@summergirl01297 Such a relief to see him doing better finally. Still not out of the woods these things tend to be up one minute and crashing the next so we’re just happy for a good day. #fyp #kitten #newborn #bottlebaby #update #fighter ♬ original sound - Caitlin Elizabeth
