This particular train route is usually uneventful. But on this day, the regional express RE 3326 on the Berlin-Stralsund route proved to be a journey that will be hard to forget.
After hearing strange noises in the toilet cubicle, the train attendant went to investigate. Opening the door, she immediately spotted a female Beagle looking back at her.
Shocking discovery
The poor dog was tied up with just a dog blanket and a bit of dry food next to her. As the attendant got closer to the dog, she saw there was a note next to it,
"Hello, my name is Tina, I'm looking for a new home. I don't bite, I can't pay for it anymore."
No microchip
The abandoned dog was reported to the police, who began investigating. However, it's unlikely they'll be able to trace Tina's owner as she doesn't have a chip. But it's believed she was abandoned when the train made a long stop due to construction work.
Tina is now being cared for at a local animal shelter.
