Baxter - In Ayr looking for a home ❤️

Baxter A Sensitive Soul Ready to Discover the World

 DOB: 03 October 2025

Size: Expected small spaniel size when fully grown

 Location: Foster in Ayr

Baxter is a gentle, sweet-natured little boy who has come such a long way and is now ready to find a patient and loving forever home.

Rescued in Romania alongside his mum (Sweetie Pie) and his siblings, Baxter arrived with us in March. Initially, he was a very frightened pup who would run away from new situations, unsure of the world around him. But since becoming a little “office dog,” he has grown in confidence every day and is beginning to enjoy life and human company. He is now happy to be picked up and handled with no signs of aggression — just a sensitive soul learning to trust.

What Baxter is Like: Gentle, affectionate, and quietly loving Good with other dogs, particularly enjoys the company of female dogs Crate trained Already doing his toileting outside, so with routine he should pick up house training quickly Still building confidence but making lovely progress

Baxter’s Ideal Home: An adult-only home or one with older, sensible children A calm, patient family willing to let him settle at his own pace A secure, enclosed garden to safely support his early training Owners committed to lead training (he hasn’t yet been on a lead) A home ready to offer reassurance, guidance, and gentle encouragement Baxter will need time to adjust to a new environment, but with kindness and consistency, he will continue to grow into a wonderful companion. He would suit many homes that understand he may not be confident straight away, but will reward patience with loyalty and affection. He’s a lovely little dog who just needs someone to show him how good life can be — full of adventures, fun, and love.

Could you be the one to give Baxter his happy future? Adopters must be able to travel to Ayr to meet and collect Baxter. Please read our adoption process here: https://www.savingandrehomingstrays.org/adopt-a-dog A home check and adoption donation will apply.
