Meet Bonnie, “Bonnie loves her walks and loves being tickled behind the ears. She loves her food and will sit and wait for it. She likes to nibble on a bone and will chase a ball. She is quite happy to run in a field on her own.”
Bonnie has met the current owners young grandchildren and can be boisterous, she can therefore live with children aged 12+ or possibly younger following sensible introductions 👶
Bonnie currently shares her home with another dog who is the owners retired guide dog. “She can be snappy with him at times and will growl at him if he tries to get too near to me which he is trained to do as a guide dog”. She could therefore share her home with another dog/s after slow and sensible introductions 🐾
Bonnie has met a family members cat and tried to chase it, she would therefore need a cat free home 🐈
Bonnie accepts a collar and lead and walks nicely once settled. Due to both her current owners health declining, she is not being exercised regularly. When our charity volunteer assessor talk her out on a walk, she said the following:
“When I got the lead out she was clearly excited and desperate to go out. She sat for me to put her collar on when I asked her to. When I first left the house she did pull and is moderately strong. However, after about 20 mins she was very calm and easy to walk. In my honest opinion she was just so excited about getting out to where there was grass and being able to sniff and explore. She is a lovely dog who deserves a home that can give her the attention and exercise she needs” 🐕🦺
Bonnie is toilet trained. She is not crate trained. She can be left alone for upto 3 hours and sleeps well overnight but can bark if she hears a strange noise. She travels well in the car 💞
