Katy graduated from the University of Cambridge veterinary school in 1999 and has over twenty years’ experience working in veterinary practice in the UK. She is a general practitioner and enjoys all aspects of veterinary medicine and surgery. The majority of her patients are dogs or cats but rabbits and other small mammals make up a proportion of her caseload. Katy writes on a wide range of veterinary topics and her articles are regularly published in local newspapers and regional magazines. She has shared her home with a number of pets over the years ranging from hamsters and chickens to dogs and is currently the owner of a young and very energetic black Labrador called Ferne.
