Dog abandoned in a garden is unrecognisable after time in foster home

By Elodie Carpentier•

Rocky came dangerously close to losing his life in a garden. But thanks to the dedication of his foster family, the dog has been given a wonderful second chance.

It’s a transformation in every sense of the word. As reported by People, Rocky has come an incredibly long way.

For a whole year, this poor Husky was left neglected in the garden of a house after his owner sadly passed away.

According to the Best Friends Animal Society, Rocky was given only the bare minimum needed to survive.

When he was finally rescued, the poor dog was severely underweight and had lost almost all of his fur. He was taken in by a foster family from the Texas-based rescue group Mutts N Such Rescue, but he was suffering from a long list of health issues.

“I just fell in love”

Rocky had mange, flea allergy dermatitis, intestinal parasites, a heart murmur, and heartworm.

Fortunately, a kind foster carer named Ashley stepped in to look after the sick dog. Under her loving care, Rocky was thoroughly spoiled and slowly began to recover.

It didn't take long for Ashley to lose her heart to him: "I just fell in love with him. The truth is, I can offer him a good home and a safe place to rest. That's what really matters for a dog like him. He’s just looking for someone to love him and a place to call home."

An incredible recovery

Just two months after being adopted, Rocky’s transformation is truly remarkable. His thick fur has grown back, and he has successfully cleared all his parasites thanks to his treatment.

Thanks to the endless love of his new owner, Rocky is finally enjoying a normal, happy life, and it is a beautiful sight to see.
