Woman follows stray cat and discovers an incredible secret behind building

Back in June, Audray noticed a female cat wandering the streets of her neighbourhood.

The rescuer immediately noticed that the cat had recently given birth.

Searching for the kittens

Seeing a stray mother cat deeply concerned Audray, as her kittens had almost certainly been born on the streets. She began discreetly keeping an eye on the cat's movements around the area, offering her food and water while trying to figure out where the little ones might be hidden.

Eventually, the cat led her to an abandoned building. Audray quietly stepped inside and noticed a rustling near an old toilet bowl. There, huddled together in the dirt and dust, were several tiny kittens. Despite the harsh conditions, the mother cat had done everything she could to protect her little ones.

Patience and a clever trick

Audray safely gathered the kittens and placed them in a carrier. The next challenge was convincing their mother to join them. After several failed attempts to get her inside, the rescuer came up with a brilliant idea. She played kitten meowing sounds from her phone, which she placed inside a humane trap.

The clever trick worked! Just thirty minutes later, the mother was safely caught. Audray was then able to bring the whole little family back to her home. The mother cat was incredibly relieved to be reunited with her babies, and we are too. We wish them all the very best for the future!
