George is an adorable Dachshund who lives with his family and his sister, Fifi.
Sadly, George went through the most painful ordeal just a few weeks ago.
A terrible tragedy
The poor pup lost his sister, Fifi, in a tragic accident after she was hit by a car. George was able to say his final goodbyes and spent a long time licking her. It was then that his grieving process began.
George started calling out for his sister around the house, crying under the table, and he even lost his appetite. His owners caught him several times trying to dig up Fifi's grave. Sadly, she is never coming back, and her brother's heart has been left completely shattered.
A call for a new companion
On TikTok, many users shared similar stories about their own pets. They recognised the classic signs of grief: a lifeless look in the eyes, a lack of energy, or constantly searching for their lost companion. George's owner admitted she had no idea dogs could grieve so deeply.
Many people asked in the comments section if the family would get George a new companion, and they have now decided to welcome a new puppy very soon.
