Staff stocking shelves find 7 tiny surprises waiting for them

Staff at a garden centre made an unexpected discovery on a shelf in one of the aisles.

The incident took place in Downingtown, Pennsylvania, in the USA.

While unloading pallets, the staff were shocked to discover 7 kittens, just a few days old, on a shelf.

A strange discovery

The tiny kittens were spread across several cardboard boxes. They called the rescuers from Lucky Dawg Animal Rescue for help. When the rescuers arrived, they were very surprised. They hadn't expected to find so many kittens...

It turned out there wasn't just one litter of kittens, but two! The seven kittens were actually from two different litters. The shop staff explained that they believed the kittens belonged to two stray cats who occasionally came to them for food.

A risky situation

The kittens were all very young and still growing. They needed to be bottle-fed and required constant supervision. One of the rescuers took the kittens home with her to ensure they would be safe.

The rescuers were glad they were able to intervene in time, as one of the biggest dangers was that the kittens could have fallen from the high shelf.

The kittens will be ready for adoption in a month. For now, the rescuers are looking for their mothers. One has been found, but the other is still missing. We hope the kittens grow up strong and happy in their new homes!
