Recently, she was on her way to drop off some cat supplies at her local shelter when she felt that this time, a simple donation just wouldn't be enough.
A spontaneous decision
Madeline's heart was telling her something. This time, she felt a special calling.
As she was greeting the cats in the shelter's cattery, she realised she wanted to become a foster carer for the very first time.
She felt this special connection with a tomcat named Haven, who completely stole her heart. The four-year-old cat reminded her of her previous cat, Peach, who also had FIV.
The tomcat had been at the shelter for a month. So, Madeline took him home to foster him until he could find his forever family.
A heartwarming response
Madeline wasn't the only one delighted by the cat's arrival in his new foster home.
The comments section was full of supportive messages:
”He found his way! What a sweet boy”
”Oh, he’s so happy to be able to stretch his little paws”
”OMG, he’s such a big kitten. Thank you with all my heart for saving him”
We couldn't agree more. What a wonderful thing to do, opening her home to Haven!
