This poor two-year-old Norwegian Elkhound had a traumatic start when he arrived at the shelter. Despite being a rather rare breed, he hadn't been spared from human irresponsibility and was suffering from being abandoned.
Once in his kennel, the young dog couldn't adjust to his new surroundings and was terrified. Huddled in a corner, he couldn't stop trembling and seemed completely bewildered by what was happening to him. Heartbroken by the poor animal's distress, the shelter team decided to film him and share the video on social media, making a desperate appeal for help.
He broke the internet's heart
In the video, the young dog, named Bobby, is almost motionless. Petrified and utterly confused, he seems unable to shake off his stress. Despite their best efforts, the shelter staff just couldn't help him relax.
Clearly unable to cope with kennel life, Bobby urgently needed to find a family. The shelter desperately hoped that this tragic video would touch the heart of a kind soul.
A new beginning
Fortunately, Bobby's profound sadness was noticed by the right people. A family, who already owned another Norwegian Elkhound, fell in love with him at first sight and couldn't bear to leave him in such distress. He has since joined his new home and is getting along wonderfully with his new companion.
