They received a call from a lorry company reporting that one of their drivers had been in a road accident.
Inside the cab of his lorry were his three travel companions...
A call for help
The three companions were adorable Chihuahuas named Tinkerbelle, Alvin, and Oliver. The lorry company asked if the rescuers could look after the three pooches while their owner recovered in hospital.
The rescuers immediately agreed to care for the Chihuahuas. They drove to the scene of the accident to get the dogs out of the lorry and bring them back to the shelter.
A happy reunion
Two days later, they received a call to say that the driver had been discharged from hospital and could collect Tinkerbelle, Alvin, and Oliver. When he arrived at the shelter, it was hard for the rescuers to tell who was happier – the dogs or their owner!
The Chihuahuas jumped into his arms, and their owner was so emotional to be reunited with them. You can see their reunion in the photo shared by the shelter below. We wish them many more happy adventures on the road together!
