While the soldiers were inspecting their military vehicles, they realised one of them was already occupied...
It turned out to be a tiny grey kitten, curled up in a ball at the back of the vehicle.
A furry discovery
The soldiers carefully removed the kitten and took him to their commanding officer. The officer had never had a cat in his family, only dogs. He wasn't much of a cat person, as he'd had some bad experiences with them before.
He was a little reluctant to send a photo of the kitten to his wife, as he was almost certain she would ask him to bring it home... And that's exactly what she did! He “obeyed”, as he wrote in his Reddit post.
The best decision
As it turned out, it was the best decision he could have made. The kitten, a little boy, turned out to be completely devoted to his new human. He loves nothing more than spending time on his lap or sleeping near his head.
The adorable cat is very gentle and never meows; he simply purrs as he wanders around his new home, delighted to be the master of the house. The soldier mentioned that thanks to this little fellow, the family now has two cats. What a rescue!
