A dog who went missing in Texas, USA, two years ago has been reunited with his owners. He was found nearly 1,500 miles away in New Jersey.

As reported by the website Fox4, a police officer collected the dog from a resident who had found him wandering the streets.

A life-saving scan

At the police station, the officer checked for a microchip. Bingo! He found one and discovered that the dog did indeed have owners living in Glenn Heights, Texas.

“I can never thank you enough”

Once contacted, the dog's owners hit the road to get him. During the reunion, Koko immediately recognised his family. “We are delighted to have him back. Thank you to everyone who made this day possible. I can never thank you enough. Sending love to you all,” his owner said on social media.
