A cry for help
About two months ago, volunteers from Little Wanderers NYC in the USA received a distressing call from a worried neighbour. A cat had been left outside, crying every night. After observing him, it became clear the feline was desperately seeking shelter.
Rescuers went to the location to bring the animal to safety. It took several hours to find and secure him.
A woman who saw the appeal immediately offered to help, taking him into her home to comfort and care for him, reports Love Meow.
A forever home
Once he was safe, the change was spectacular. The tomcat, now named Emmanuel, transformed into an affectionate and confident cat.
He instantly bonded with his new foster family. He would weave his way through every room, supervise all the household activities, and snuggle up to his humans gratefully.
The bond he formed with the family members, as well as with the other cats in the house, was so strong that what was meant to be a temporary foster placement became Emmanuel's forever home.
