Feeding While Away For A Weekend

Hi All, has anyone got any experience with automatic cat feeders while going away? My neighbour is going to pop in to keep my cat company while I'm away but she sometimes overfeeds or doesn't put out the right food, so I was looking at those auto pet feeders thinking it might help.

Let me know if anyone has had any experience or recommends one!

For dry food and basic needs: Look at reliable brands like PetSafe or Arf Pets for their simpler models with timed dispensing and basic portion control.
For fry food and smart features: If you want remote control and monitoring, consider the PetSafe Smart Feed, Sure Petcare SureFeed (if microchip access is a benefit), or WOPET feeders. Read reviews carefully to ensure the app is user-friendly and the connection is stable.
For wet food: The Cat Mate C3000 or similar timed multi-compartment feeders are your likely options. Consider how long you'll be away and if the ice packs will maintain freshness. For longer trips with wet food, you might need your neighbour to come more frequently or consider transitioning to dry food for the duration.
