Hi everyone! 🐶

I wanted to discuss about one of my favorite dog breeds—the Eurasier! If you’re a proud Eurasier parent or considering adopting one, let’s share experiences, tips, and insights about this amazing breed.

Why I Love the Eurasier:

  • Temperament: They are calm, gentle, and incredibly loyal. My Eurasier is a perfect mix of affectionate and independent, always ready to snuggle but equally content to have quiet time.
  • Family-Friendly: They’re fantastic with kids and other pets, making them an excellent choice for families.
  • Intelligence: These dogs are smart and eager to please, which makes training enjoyable (but they do have a streak of stubbornness!).
  • Appearance: That fluffy coat and those expressive eyes—who can resist?

Challenges of Owning a Eurasier:

  • Socialization Needs: Eurasiers can be reserved with strangers, so early socialization is key to ensuring they grow into well-rounded dogs.
  • Grooming: Their gorgeous double coat requires regular brushing to prevent matting and reduce shedding, especially during seasonal coat changes.
  • Exercise: They’re not hyperactive but do need daily walks and mental stimulation to stay happy.

My Secret Weapon – PuppaDogs.com:

One website that has been a lifesaver for me as a Eurasier owner is PuppaDogs.com. They offer a range of pet products that are perfect for a breed like this. Here’s what I’ve found super helpful:

  • Grooming Tools: Their high-quality brushes and deshedding tools make coat maintenance so much easier. My Eurasier actually enjoys grooming sessions now!
  • Ergonomic Harnesses: Eurasiers are strong and can pull during walks if they’re excited. PuppaDogs’ harnesses are both comfortable and effective, giving me better control without straining my pup.
  • Smart Feeders: These are great for keeping mealtime consistent, especially when I have a busy day.

I'm curious to know more about this breed too! I've always found this breed to be very beautiful, but there are a couple of things that scare me:

- The amount of fur - the shedding has got to be awful

- The need for exercise (I assume as a Nordic breed this dog has a lot of energy and needs to expend it)

- The tough character : again, as a Nordic breed, I guess these dogs are quite stubborn and need owners who really know what they're doing? I've only met one Eurasier in my life, and he was quite aggressive towards other dogs.

Does anyone here have a Eurasier? Could you provide some insight?
