Sparky and Rex has come into us due to their owners ill health. They are a lovely pair of boys who can be a little nervous of strangers at first but are lovely once you say hello and give them a treat. We are looking for the boys to be rehomed together. Sparky is the more nervous of the two but it doesn't take long to gain his or Rex's trust.
The boys are both very affectionate and loving. Rex is a lapdog and will sit on your lap as soon as you sit down and try to give you lots of kisses. He enjoys playing ball and a game of tug of war. He also loves to snuggle up to his people whilst being wrapped up in a blanket. Sparky is a very cheeky and playful boy who loves to play ball and loves meeting new dog friends. He gets so excited he gets the zoomies! Like many dachshunds, Sparky loves to burrow under the blankets. He loves to be warm and enjoys laying in the sunshine and next to the radiator.
Sparky does have dachshund traits so an owner with experience with the breed would be great, but is not essential. They will need patient and understanding owners who will give them the time and space they need to settle into their new home. They will make great companions and would never fail to put a smile on your face. They would be better suited as the only pets in the home.
