Meet Ody, a beautiful boy who has only been in his own home for a few weeks but his adopter doesn’t feel like she has the time for him to decompress fully and also feels he would be better in a home with another dog ❤️
📍Location: Newport, Wales
💖Gender: Male
⏰Age: 1 Year old
📏Size: Medium (15KG approx)
🏠Home requirements: Ody would be best in a home with other dogs as this is when he is at his happiest. Ody is not cat tested so a cat free home would be ideal. Older dog savvy children would be best as Ody is a nervous boy. An enclosed garden is a must for this sweet boy. Ody is a gentle natured boy who is currently very nervous of the big wide world after leaving the safety of his shelter 😞
♥️ Ody will require a home who have the time and patience for him to build his trust, he loves being around other dogs and playing with them, this gives him a confidence boost! He loves his food and mealtimes are his favourite time of the day! Especially if it’s wet food! He is doing incredibly well with his house training and only has the occasional wee indoors but this is always on puppy pads.
🧡 He travels well in the car and copes with long journeys well, he just sleeps with his blanket. Ody has a very soft personality and hasn’t shown one ounce of aggression. He is used to household noises such as the washing machine and hoover and these don’t bother him anymore! He loves to roll around in the grass and chase leaves in the garden! He’s a cuddly boy who loves his home comforts, he enjoys burying himself in blankets and cuddling up to his soft toys!
💛The only behaviour issue is that he can be reactive when on walks as he is still nervous. This can be worked on and overcome over time and as his confidence builds.
🩺Ody is a healthy boy. He is neutered, is fully vaccinated, microchipped, flea & wormed and brucellosis tested.
🚗 For travel, we ask fosterers and adopters who are interested in UK-based dogs to assist with transport by meeting part way. Due to this, UK dogs have a reduced fee, and fosterers are offered fuel reimbursement. Transport can be arranged if necessary, but this will be at the adopter's expense.
