Hi,
I’ve actually noticed that there are periods when the weeping seems more significant, as if the tear duct isn't completely blocked but gets more clogged up at certain times.
Much to my surprise—since I’d never made the connection before—I agree with @Jbilna: since we switched to mixed feeding (wet and dry food) about a year ago, things have really improved, even if we did notice a bit of a gunky eye on our little girl last night. But between summer 2017 (grain-inclusive food) where her eyes were constantly mucky, and summer 2018 (grain-free food), there’s really no contest; there was hardly any visible discharge in 2018. I don’t know if it’s just a coincidence, but I’ve found the same thing.
@Jblina: If you don’t mind me asking, which brand(s) do you use? Do you go for mixed feeding too?

Hi everyone,
We have a cat with a blocked tear duct. But the surprising thing is, since we switched his dry food (he’s now on grain-free), everything's fine! And that’s after he’s had a runny eye for two whole years!!
Best wishes
