The picture, uploaded by a Redditor with the username Sussy, is a digital cartoon drawing of a dog/fox-like creature standing alone in dark wood.
Where's that cat?
There's no sign of a cat in the picture. But with a title like 'Can you see the cat?', there must be a sneaky feline hiding somewhere, right?
Not everyone was convinced. And they'd be forgiven for thinking this picture was actually a practical joke. Thousands of people spent hours staring at the pic and didn't see any cats.
"Someone is having a laugh at my expense," posted one viewer. "There's no cat in that picture." Another wrote, "I'm confused. My brain hurts."

Did you spot it? If not, here's a clue to help you!
See? The two branches above the animal's head create a cat-shaped figure that appears to be climbing down the tree. It looks like that dog (or fox?) is in for quite a surprise!
But a few people who picked out the 'cat' weren't particularly impressed. Some said it looked more like a rat, and others called it a blob that vaguely resembled an animal-like creature.
And one person had their own explanation for why the artist disguised the cat in the tree. "If I sucked that bad at drawing animals, I'd hide the cat in the branches too," wrote TwistedRope101. Harsh!
Why didn't I see it?
Don't worry if you didn't see the cat. Studies into the relationship between what the eye sees and how the brain processes information found that a small percentage of humans can't decode optical illusions. This is linked to eye deviations or misalignments, such as astigmatism, cataracts, or having a dominant eye.
So the next time you struggle with an optical illusion or magic eye picture, try not to stare at it too long. You could end up sitting there forever.
