Chewy is an adorable Newfoundland who is well-known on social media.
On this particular day, the lovely dog was enjoying a spot of swimming.
A lovely swim
In the video below, we can see him peacefully enjoying the water as he paddles along in one direction. But he suddenly changes course when his little sister, Mabel, begins swimming towards him. Mabel is still only a young puppy, so she has to wear a life jacket to keep her safe in the water. She is absolutely delighted to be in the pool and swims straight towards Chewy.
As soon as he notices her, the gentle giant immediately changes direction. He turns around and swims straight to her, as if to make sure the puppy is completely safe. Their owner summed up the sweet moment in the caption: "She's his baby."
An adorable bond
Looking at the footage, it is clear that Chewy changes his path the moment he spots Mabel, guiding her safely back towards dry land. He makes sure the little pup doesn't tire herself out in the water, which is just wonderful to watch.
Instagram users fell head over heels for this beautiful interaction between the giant dog and his "baby". We are sure that Mabel and Chewy will go on many more wonderful adventures together, and we hope they enjoy every single swim!
