Pet Blood Bank UK has teamed up with Plumpton College in East Sussex, hosting its first ever collection day on Sunday the 13th of December.
"We are so excited to launch our very first dog blood donation session in Plumpton" said Nicole Osborne from Pet Blood Bank UK.
Local support to save lives
"We are looking forward to meeting lots of new donors and really getting the local community behind our mission to save the lives of dogs across the country. We would love to hear from anyone interested in finding out more or coming along to our session at Plumpton College" she explained.
To be eligible dogs must weigh more than 25kg and be aged between 1 to 8-years-old. They must also be healthy and comfortable in new environments.
New beginnings
Each donation can help save the lives of up to four dogs. Dogs who donate will receive a full health check from the team, along with treats and attention.
The first session begins this December, with future sessions planned every three months.
