On 8th August, the pup walked into her bedroom licking his lips.
His owner found this behaviour rather alarming, as Chico only ever licks his lips after he has eaten or licked something.
Highly suspicious behaviour
It wasn't mealtime, so Chico's owner immediately suspected the dog had found something to snack on. As she wrote in the caption of the video below, Chico couldn't stop "licking his lips in a suspicious way."
In the video below, you can see the pup licking his lips while being held by his owner. She then walks into the kitchen, and what she finds on the table makes her gasp. Sitting on the kitchen table is an empty packet of chocolate biscuits... The pup had treated himself to a real feast!
A cheeky snack
Chico seemed to have enjoyed his find so much that he couldn't resist savouring the very last crumbs left in his mouth. Chico's owner wondered how such a tiny dog had managed to reach the packet on the high kitchen table.
She didn't have to wait long to find out! The clever pup had climbed onto a kitchen chair, using it as a ladder to devour his snack on the table. Internet users quickly shared their thoughts in the comments: "The lip-licking is always a dead giveaway that they ate something they shouldn't have." Another joked: "At least he left you some." Well, yes, if you count a few tiny crumbs at the very bottom of the packet!
