Clovis regularly receives some unusual visitors to his 14th-floor flat.
Unexpected visitors
These visitors don't bother with the stairs or the lift; they prefer to travel by air!
That's because they are two Crested Caracaras, one of the largest falcon species in the world.
The two falcons often land on his apartment window.
His special relationship with them began when one of them started tapping loudly on the window. Then, the falcon looked Clovis straight in the eye and opened its beak.
He realised the falcons were hungry, so he started leaving food out for them.
An unusual relationship
Clovis regularly posts videos on his TikTok account of the falcons interacting with him and his cats.
In a video below, his cat Frida is napping by the window while the falcons clack their beaks and tap on the glass.
They watch her intently before eventually flying away.
Frida is always seeking physical contact and even tries to touch the falcons through the glass!
According to Clovis, after many attempts, the Caracaras now accept Frida's presence and even try to interact in a friendly way.
Social media users are absolutely fascinated by this unusual relationship:
”It's so fascinating to watch. It's like National Geographic right outside your window!”
Clovis hopes his videos can spark a debate about the destruction of animal habitats and the question of whether we should feed wild animals that have lost their natural homes.
