Fears for weak kid's life, but farm dog's love works a little miracle (video)

At Red Falcon Ranch, a farm that specialises in breeding Angora goats, one birth sadly didn't go according to plan.

Lageatha, one of the farm's goats, had just given birth to triplets.

However, the birth of one of the kids was very difficult...

A fragile start

The kid, named Gawain, had a very difficult start in life. He was so weak that his chances of survival were almost zero. Fortunately, Gawain had an unlikely ally in the farm's Border Collie, Belle.

Belle has always had a strong maternal instinct and loves looking after babies. In a video posted on 3rd May, you can see all the attention she lavishes on little Gawain.

Tender loving care

Belle is seen sniffing the little kid as he lies by the fire. Gawain looks so weak he can't even lift his head. Belle then gently begins to cuddle and groom him. The comfort and warmth she provided helped to stimulate the little one.

Thanks to Belle's care, the little kid was stimulated enough to finally drink his mother's milk! This is how he began to build up his strength. It was Belle's little "miracle", as her owner explained in the video. Without the dog's stimulation and support, his chances of survival would have been much slimmer. Gawain is now out of danger and enjoying his life on the farm. We wish him a very bright future!
