Every day, as soon as she senses the day is beginning, an energetic little dog named Matti rushes over to her brother Lio. She quietly pounces on him until the big dog finally opens his eyes.
A special kind of alarm clock
Lio was born deaf, so for him, the world is like a silent film. When he's sleeping soundly, he can't hear the familiar sounds that signal someone's arrival or a happy event. That's where Matti steps in. With remarkable intuition, she realised her brother needed a 'helping paw' to make sure he never misses out on important family moments.
In the videos shared by their owners, Matti never loses patience. She doesn't just jump on him; she also guides and reassures him, making sure he's always included in the fun.
A natural instinct
According to their owners, this behaviour wasn't taught through rigorous training but developed naturally. "She is literally his ears," they explain. As soon as the front door opens, Matti knows that Lio won't hear it, so she runs over to him to let him know.
It's an inseparable bond that reminds us just how much empathy and adaptability animals are capable of.
