Seven newborn puppies dumped in a bush: rescuers fear for their tiny lives

On Saturday 28th March, in Abingdon, UK, seven tiny puppies were discovered under a bush.

The passers-by who discovered the poor little pups did exactly the right thing.

They immediately took them to The Hart Veterinary Centre.

A critical condition

When they arrived, the puppies were freezing cold, so it was crucial to raise their body temperature as quickly as possible. The veterinary team immediately set to work, giving them all the care they needed to survive.

Once their temperature was stabilised, rescuers from the Oxfordshire Animal Sanctuary stepped in to take over their care.

Finding a foster home

The rescuers knew that finding a foster home for the young puppies was essential for their survival. They require round-the-clock monitoring and care.

Fortunately, the rescuers were able to place the puppies with a loving foster family who is now looking after them. The team believes the puppies are Staffordshire Bull Terriers. Hopefully, the little pups will quickly gain strength and grow, ready for wonderful adventures in the future!
