A cruel sentence for pigeons

A lack of knowledge and awareness leads to cruelty towards pigeons, which are actually incredibly useful as they feed on all sorts of weed seeds. There is also the Animal Welfare Act to consider, along with scientific findings suggesting that happiness is rooted in kindness—essentially, if you want to be happy, you must be kind to the entire ecosystem. The harm you do will surely come back to you, as that is the law of the spiritual and informational system we live in. How do you think we can put a stop to this cruelty?

Hello, I think part of the problem mainly comes from a lack of information about pigeons. Many people only see them as pests, whereas they are part of our urban ecosystem and are sentient animals capable of feeling stress, pain and social attachment. To reduce cruelty, we need better information about their ecological role and their behaviour, avoid rhetoric that normalises violence towards them, and above all, educate the younger generation to respect these often misunderstood animals. But it’s certainly going to take time to change mindsets. Have a good day, Maëlla
