Why does my cat hesitate on the doorstep when he wants to go out?

Hi everyone, just a quick update: my cat Galilée used to hesitate on the threshold whenever he was going out or coming back in. Well, the hesitation is finally over! I tried the 'clogs' trick but that didn't change anything; however, one suggestion I received was very productive. Just over two years ago, I changed the doormat in the entrance—you know those lovely mats with a photo of your beloved pets on them? Well, as it turns out, my big brave lad is a total scaredy-cat when it comes to his own image 🥰. I took it away and the reaction was almost immediate—within a day and after a few trips through the door, the habit was gone. I'm absolutely delighted to see my fur baby feeling happy in himself again. Thanks ☺️

Hi there, Thanks so much for the update! It’s a great example of how important it is to observe our pets’ environment. Some cats can be sensitive to things that seem completely harmless to us. I’m delighted to hear that Galilée is back to his old self and is feeling happy and settled again! Best wishes, Victoire
